You don't need crypto to buy land on Fabrica. In the Buy property window, when Pay by shows a bank option (bank transfer, card or wire), you can pay the way you already pay for everything else. Here is what to expect.
What you can pay with
The checkout can offer three ways to pay from a bank, each with its own fee, limit and timing, shown on the option itself:
Bank transfer: "From a bank you link." You connect your bank account in a few taps, and the account must be in your name.
Card: a debit or credit card. "The card limit includes the fee."
Wire: "For larger amounts. You send it from your bank." You get the details to wire the money, and send it from your own bank.
Next to each option you see the processing fee (or "No processing fee") and "Expected by" with a date, the day the property becomes yours. An option that is switched off right now is not shown. An option whose limit is below the price is still shown, but you can't pick it, and it says so ("Up to $N per purchase. This price is above the limit."). Payments are processed by Coinflow, our payment provider, and any processing fee is theirs, not Fabrica's.
Verifying your identity, once
The first time you pay by bank transfer or wire (and for larger card payments), the window asks you to verify your identity. As the app puts it: "Coinflow, our payment provider, checks these details; we keep only whether you're verified. Most people only need this form." You enter your name, home address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Outside the US, you can verify with a photo of your ID and a selfie instead. This is a one-time step, and it also covers cashing out later.
Paying
Under Pay by, choose your option and click Continue to payment.
Bank transfer: connect your bank. Card: enter the card details; your bank may ask you to confirm the payment ("Your bank wants to confirm it's you."). Wire: pick or enter the bank you will send it from.
Review the payment. The review shows the amount, the fee and the total, then click Pay $X. For a wire, click Get wire details instead.
For a wire, the next screen shows the Reference, Amount, Recipient, Routing and Account to use, and a Send by date. Use Copy all details, include the reference exactly, and send the wire from an account in your name. As the app warns: "Wires without it are returned." The details are in your email too.
Timing
With a card, the property is yours once the payment goes through. With a bank transfer, you see "Your bank payment is on its way": the property stays the seller's until your bank clears the payment, usually by the expected date shown ("It can take a few business days to clear."). The property page shows Sale pending in the meantime, with the day you'll become the owner. Then the token moves to you, and the property with it. No action is needed from you; we email you when it is in your portfolio, or if anything needs your attention. A wire shows "Waiting for your wire" on the property page until it lands.
If a payment is declined or returned
Declines usually come from your own bank or card issuer: daily limits, fraud holds on an unusual purchase, or insufficient funds. The app tells you what happened and what to do next, for example "Heads up: your card was declined. Try another card or pay by bank transfer." If a bank account can't be used because its name doesn't match your verified identity (joint and business accounts often need the account holder's own name), try another account or pay by wire. If a bank transfer is returned after you started it, we email you about it and the property stays listed, so you can try again. Still stuck? Message us through the chat bubble in the corner and we will figure it out with you.
