I hit an error while adding my property. What now?

First, the important part: nothing is lost. Your progress saves as you go and continues on our side, so an error on the screen does not undo the steps you have completed. Most of these fix themselves with a retry or a short wait.

“Could not look up that parcel. Please check the APN and try again.”

Double-check the APN against your tax bill or the county assessor’s record, then retry. If the number is right and the lookup still fails, try clicking your parcel directly on the map instead of typing the APN.

An error while we gather property information

Sometimes an error appears while we are researching your property, for example while verifying its ownership history. When that happens, our team sees the same error you do, and we usually fix it on the data side. Try again later, or message us in the chat bubble if you want us to look right away.

“Not available in your area yet”

This is not an error with your property. It means we have not configured your area yet. We are expanding quickly, and we will reach out the moment your property is eligible.

Checking where things stand

Your property page always shows live status. The “On-Ramp Progress” card is the place to check what step you are on and whether anything needs you.

The “Upgrade your property” button does nothing

Sign out, sign back in, and try again. If the button still does not respond, message us in the chat bubble in the corner and we will finish the step with you.

If you get stuck at any point, message us in the chat bubble in the corner. Learn more in the on-ramp docs.
