I got a "Wrong network" error. What do I do?

If you see the message “Wrong network. Please switch your wallet to Mainnet to continue.”, here is what is going on and how to fix it in about a minute.

What the error means

Fabrica runs on Ethereum Mainnet, the main Ethereum network. If you logged in with an external crypto wallet, that wallet can be set to other networks too, and some wallets start on a different one by default. Coinbase Wallet, for example, often starts on Base, Coinbase’s own network. Your wallet and Fabrica are simply not on the same network yet. Nothing is wrong with your account or your property.

How to fix it

  1. Open your wallet app or browser extension.

  2. Find the network selector. In most wallets it is the network name shown near the top of the screen (it may say “Base” or something other than “Ethereum”).

  3. Tap or click it and choose Ethereum (sometimes shown as “Ethereum Mainnet”).

  4. Go back to Fabrica and retry what you were doing. The error should be gone.

The exact taps vary a little between wallets and versions:

  • Coinbase Wallet (phone app or browser extension): tap the network name at the top, then pick Ethereum from the list.

  • MetaMask: click the network menu at the top of the extension or app, then select Ethereum Mainnet.

If your wallet’s screens look different, search its own help for “switch network”.

If you use email login

This error should not happen. Signing in with your email or a social account creates a Fabrica account that is pinned to the right network for you, so there is nothing to switch. If you would rather not deal with networks at all, email login is the simplest path.

If you get stuck, message us in the chat bubble in the corner and we will walk you through it.
