How it works, in one paragraph
When you add a property, Fabrica helps you place it in its own legal trust. The trust holds the record title at the county, and a digital Property Token represents ownership of that trust. Transfer the token, and you transfer the property. You own your property through your own trust. You are the beneficiary, and by default you are also your own trustee. Fabrica never holds title to your property and cannot control it. Everything, including transfer, recovery, and removal, works even if Fabrica disappears.
Is this legally real?
Yes. Your deed is drafted, notarized, and recorded at the county, the same way any property transfer works. The trust structure is open source, so anyone can read exactly how it works. In California, the Board of Equalization determined that “a transfer of the Fabrica Token is a transfer of the underlying real property itself.” That is a California determination, not a ruling for every state, but it shows regulators taking the structure at face value.
What about the crypto part?
You do not need to know anything about crypto to use Fabrica. You sign in with your email, and payments can go through your bank account. Behind the scenes, the Property Token lives on Ethereum, a public digital ledger, which is what makes instant sales and fast loans possible.
