Removing a property from Fabrica involves a simple and secure two-step process.

Burn the token

The first step is to burn the NFT, effectively deactivating it on the blockchain. This important step prevents any potential malicious actors from trying to sell the NFT after disconnecting it from the trust.

To do so, you can use the burner application: https://burner.fabrica.land. This stand-alone application will allow you to burn any NFT on any version of the Fabrica protocol.

Alternatively, you can also burn the token manually, by calling the burn() function of the Fabrica ERC1155 Contract, passing the tokenId of the property you want to remove.

Transfer the property out of the Trust

Once the NFT is burned, you have the freedom to transfer the property to your name, your company, or any other entity you prefer. Fabrica's platform provides a convenient system to generate a deed for this purpose, or you can choose to handle it independently.

By burning the NFT and transferring the property out of the trust, you complete the removal of the property from the blockchain and Fabrica's platform.

Please contact us through the chat or email if you want to remove a property. An automated system is on our roadmap.
