Your property is fine. We designed it that way on purpose.
Why your ownership doesn’t depend on us
You own your property through your own trust. You are the beneficiary, and by default you are also your own trustee. Fabrica never holds title to your property and cannot control it. Three things anchor that, none of which need Fabrica to exist:
Your deed is recorded at the county. The trust’s title to your land sits in the public record, exactly like any other deed.
The trust stands on its own. Fabrica is not a party to your trust and does not manage it. It keeps working with or without us.
The trust agreement is open source. Anyone, including your lawyer, can read the full legal text at any time.
You could still exit, without us
Your Property Token lives on Ethereum, a public network that no company runs. You can retire (“burn”) the token yourself using a public tool like Etherscan, and a real-estate lawyer can complete the deed that puts title directly in your name. No Fabrica website required, no permission needed.
What would actually stop working
Honesty matters here: the conveniences would go. The Fabrica website, the marketplace, borrowing through the lending pool, and the services we run around your property could become unavailable or unmaintained. Your ownership, your trust, and your recorded deed would be untouched.
