How do I transfer a property between my own wallets?

If you hold your property in one account address and want to move it to another address you also own, use Transfer Property. This moves the token between your own wallets. It does not change who owns the property: both addresses are yours, so you remain the owner throughout.

A “wallet” here is just an account address on Ethereum. If you signed up with your email, Fabrica created one for you automatically. You might also have an external wallet app you prefer to hold things in.

Before you start

  • The transfer only works between wallets that are linked to your Fabrica account and verified as yours. You cannot use it to send the property to someone else.

  • To link another wallet: open the account menu, choose Account, and use link a new wallet.

  • You will need a small amount of ETH to cover processing fees. ETH is Ethereum’s own currency, used to pay the network’s small processing charge.

  • If the property is under a loan, transfers are disabled. The app will tell you: “Please pay off the loan to enable property transfer.”

Steps

  1. Open your property page while logged in.

  2. In the Owner Toolbox, click Transfer Property.

  3. Pick the linked wallet you want to move the property to.

  4. Confirm the transfer and wait for it to complete.
