A transaction failed or seems stuck. What do I do?

First, the reassuring part: a failed transaction does not move your money or your property. When something goes wrong, the app stops before anything happens and shows a message inviting you to try again. Your funds stay put. In almost every case, the fix is simply to retry.

Signing fails while listing for sale

Retry from "Put for sale" on your property page. If you logged in with an external crypto wallet, it must be set to Ethereum Mainnet. If you saw a "Wrong network" message, see the article "I got a "Wrong network" error. What do I do?" in this help center, switch networks, and retry.

Approval fails while making an offer

Retry the "Approve USDC" step in the offer flow. This step gives permission to use your USDC (a stablecoin, a digital dollar that always equals $1) for the offer, and it is safe to run again after a failure.

Errors while removing a property

Two messages come up during removal:

  • "Please connect the wallet that burned this token." You are signed in with a different account or address than the one that completed the removal step. Reconnect with the right one and retry.

  • "Authorization expired. Please sign again." The signature timed out. Sign again and the step continues.

A request is taking longer than expected

If signing or confirming seems to hang, the app will now tell you it is "taking longer than expected" rather than spinning forever. Usually an earlier request is still open in your wallet. Dismiss that older request, then start the step again and approve it promptly when your wallet asks. If you logged in with your email or a social account, just try the step again; if it keeps happening, come back to this help center or message us.

"Still confirming"

Transactions can sit in a confirming state for a few minutes while the Ethereum network processes them. Give it a little time before retrying.

If something is still stuck after a retry, message us in the chat bubble in the corner and include a link to the property. We will take it from there.
